SCOTT DILLON is my new favorite writer…
Hi Rangers!  I have some exciting news, that for all of you who follow me on FACEBOOK or TWITTER, have already heard, i’m sure.
Scott [Dillon], who has been hard at work on the script for JOHNNY RECON #2 for a couple months now, sent the full script to me yesterday and let me tell you, it is awesome.
I understand that I am completely bias on the matter, but even if I wasn’t co-creator and I wasn’t drawing it, this is phenomenal storytelling.
Scott and I learned so much making the first issue, we know what worked and what missed it’s intended mark in both writing and art, but this script nails it.  It’s a perfect jumping on point.  I always said issue #1 felt like a TV pilot, well issue #2 is where the studio gave us the green light and duffel bags of cash and we’re making a big budget spectacle for all of you.
Scott is a phenomenal storyteller who has never really worked in comics before, but with an issue under his belt and all he’s learned, he delivered 24 pages of solid, smart, epic, personal, action-packed, often hilarious, heart warming, science fiction, fantasy, fun.
So I will stop going all “Mark Millar hype machine” on you (Great band name!).  I just wanted to vent my excitement for this project, pump up a good friend and storyteller, and most importantly let you all know that my work on JOHNNY RECON #2 begins…….
